IT MATTERS FRI: YOUR COMMERCIAL LEASE LANGUAGE

As it's often preached, "The Details Matters" or the cliche the "Devil is In The Details" entering into a commercial lease shouldn't be taken lightly as the terms & language will govern the relationship between you & the landlord over the next several years. Focus is often skewed towards how much you pay in rent especially for new or rapidly growing businesses however that same focus should be paid attention to those additional 30 plus pages as no one expects any problems to arise until they do leading to everyone going back to the lease to enforce their positions potentially leading to litigation or the realization that you are powerless to remedy the problem. Put that same focus into the Details because trust me they will matter in the coming years.
